We are five days into the new year...time is already flying! Being that it is a new year, myself like millions of others , choose this time to let go of the past, take a deep breath (woosah) and start fresh. We set new goals for ourselves and try our hardest to uphold and accomplish them. I have never written down any goals or resolutions before and I figure typing them out would be a good start. So, in 2014 I will:
1. Stop procrastinating
Whatever it is just do it already...really, you have no excuses...none that will work anyway.
2. Make more time for myself
Pick up a hobby that challenges you mentally, improves your skills or one that just brings you joy. Whether that is taking ballet class, playing your violin again or learning Korean, or all three, make sure not to forget about you.
3. Learn how to cook...properly
Making smoothies takes a lil skill but learning how to not burn your turkey bacon and grilled cheese...priceless.
4. Travel more
Because breath taking moments like this need to happen more often. Is that my voice...man I sound weird.
After waiting in my car for over an hour (hail storm), this is what we saw as we approached the rim.
5. Finish what I start
Finish that fitness program, complete your GRE and get to at least unit two on Rosetta Stone.
6. Be a more conscious consumer
Use that degree and shop smarter, greener, locally and maybe even learn to make your own clothes.
...
...
This is a short list now, but I plan on adding more as the year progresses. Here's to hoping we accomplish our goals and to a great 2014.
