Wish-list | Slip on Sneakers

Morning Y'all ! I currently have an obscene obsession with slip on sneakers. They have been trending for awhile, but I swear every time I see Rumi Neely from Fashiontoast in these shoes, see here , I become even more obsessed and now I just need them in my life. The pair  I'm living for are these bad boys from Steve Madden (see above). I hope to eventually have those pair along with maybe 2 and 4. Can't go wrong with leopard print and the classic white vans! -Desi 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6

A lil obsessed | Lupita Nyong'o

So the Golden Globes were last night as most of you are aware and the only reason I tune in is to see who the big winners are and of course the red carpet fashion. When Lupita Nyong'o hit the red carpet, my jaw dropped to the floor. I can not and will not get over how incredibly beautiful she looked in that Ralph Lauren column dress. She is absolutely glowing and the color goes perfect with her flawless complexion. I know I can't be the only one who is obsessing over her right now. If you did not know, Lupita was cast as Patsey in 12 Years a Slave in which she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award (and every award that you can possibly be nominated for) for Best supporting Actress.  Interview with VOGUE I can see this look being at the top of every one's best dressed list and I can not wait to see what she will wear for the remainder of award season or the rest of the year for that matter. -Desi

Happy 2014!

We are five days into the new year...time is already flying! Being that it is a new year, myself like millions of others , choose this time to let go of the past, take a deep breath (woosah) and start fresh. We set new goals for ourselves and try our hardest to uphold and accomplish them. I have never written down any goals or resolutions before and I figure typing them out would be a good start. So, in 2014 I will: 1. Stop procrastinating Whatever it is just do it already...really, you have no excuses...none that will work anyway. 2. Make more time for myself Pick up a hobby that challenges you mentally, improves your skills or one that just brings you joy. Whether that is taking ballet class, playing your violin again or learning Korean, or all three, make sure not to forget about you. 3. Learn how to cook...properly Making smoothies takes a lil skill but learning how to not burn your turkey bacon and grilled cheese...priceless. 4. Travel more Because...
