So when reading the title did you think of sports bras and athletic shoes and what not? Well that's not what this post is going to be about, although it will fun picking out workout outfits, hmmm I'm thinking of neon sports bras and those Tiffany blue sneakers

..... oh yeah back to the post. When I say fit for fashion what I am referring to is losing weight for fashion, meaning the only reason that I want to drop some serious poundage is because I want to be able to rock some cute ass outfits and be trendy.

Is that vain? Is that the wrong reason for wanting to lose weight? I know that I can't be the only person who has used this as a stepping stone for weight loss. I would love to know what y'all think about it, but for me I think it is the perfect motivation.Let me be clear though, I'm not saying that I am trying to look like the women I see in fashion magazines and get to a dangerously low weight and eat one apple a day. For one, I am not 5’11 with legs for days so there is no way I could possibly look like them ( unless i had some serious photo shop done). My reasons for being fashion fit come from a good place. I really want to reach a healthier weight to look and feel better about myself (not bust through my button ups). You know, gain more confidence. Isn't that what everyone wants when they have a weight loss goal? There is always an element of vanity involved even if you don't start with vain intentions.
Karl Lagerfeld famously lost weight for fashion...92 pounds in 13 months only so he could wear designer Hedi Slimane’s clothes. But I'm not going to that extreme. I want to be healthy first and foremost and be able to enjoy the spoils that weight loss brings ( clothes, clothes, and more clothes) afterward. So what do you think, is getting in shape only because you want to fit in with fashion a good thing or do you think that fashion is not a good motivational tool?
I think that as long as you want to be healthier then you are losing the weight for the right reason and it doesn't hurt that you'll be able to rock entire trendier fashions.
